Lebanon's Jayden Bailey Remembered at Beech High Game

Lebanon High School basketball player Jayden Bailey, 17, died Feb. 19 after a four‑year cancer battle. His teammates honored him at a Beech High playoff game with a tribute table and a GoFundMe QR code.

During the District 7‑4A semifinal at Beech High on Feb. 21, a black table displayed a photo of Bailey and a GoFundMe QR code to help his family with medical costs. The tribute honored the 17‑year‑old who died Feb. 19 after a nearly four‑year battle with cancer.

Bailey, who had his left arm amputated in August and still played for the Blue Devils, was remembered by teammates and coach Jim McDowell. Senior Marques Anglin said he felt Bailey’s presence on the court, and the team won 46‑44, carrying his spirit forward.
