McMorris Falls Short of Olympic Podium in Slopestyle

Mark McMorris, 32, finished eighth in the 12‑man final of men's snowboard slopestyle at Milan Cortina 2026, two places ahead of teammate Cameron Spalding.

McMorris fell in two of three attempts and suffered a concussion, pelvic bone bruising and an abdominal strain during a big‑air training crash on Feb. 4. He was cleared to compete in slopestyle and finished third in qualifying, but ended up eighth in the final.

Spalding, 20, finished ninth, while China’s Su Yiming won gold, Japan’s Taiga Hasegawa silver and U.S. rider Jake Canter bronze.
