Defensive coordinator Robert Livingston is leaving the Colorado Buffaloes to join the NFL's Denver Broncos as defensive pass game coordinator. This departure adds to the significant coaching turnover under Deion Sanders, with Colorado now having lost 77 years of NFL experience since March 19, 2025.
The Buffaloes will enter 2026 with new offensive and defensive coordinators, as well as new position coaches including quarterback coach, tight ends coach, defensive line coach, and cornerbacks coach. Livingston's departure follows an improved defensive performance in 2024, where Colorado rose from 121st to 43rd in scoring defense. Colorado has promoted linebackers coach Chris Marve to replace Livingston as defensive coordinator.
