Derek Jones, a 27-year coaching veteran with SEC experience, joins Tennessee after working with defensive coordinator Jim Knowles at Duke. Jones replaces Michael Hunter, who left for the Los Angeles Rams shortly after joining Tennessee last month.
The Volunteers have completely rebuilt their cornerback room this offseason, bringing in several transfers while losing key players to the NFL Draft and transfer portal. Tennessee's spring practice begins soon, with the orange and white game scheduled for April 11th.
