Shokalook Signs MLS Contract After Next Pro Success

Jason Shokalook has signed an MLS contract through 2026 with Chicago Fire after a stellar 2025 season in MLS Next Pro, where he won the Golden Boot award.

Born in Erie, PA, Shokalook traveled extensively for youth soccer before excelling at the University of Akron. After being selected 35th overall in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft, he played in MLS Next Pro where he scored 20 goals in 2025, earning both the Golden Boot and a finalist spot for MVP award.

The 22-year-old made his MLS debut against D.C. United before returning to the reserves to continue his impressive form. Shokalook's journey from Pennsylvania to professional soccer showcases his dedication and talent, culminating in his new MLS contract which includes club options for 2027 and 2028.
