Bayern Munich legend Uli Hoeneß has lavished praise on coach Vincent Kompany, calling him "a lottery win" and "the most popular coach at FC Bayern in a long time." The Belgian coach, who joined in 2024 after Thomas Tuchel, has since justified the club's faith with a long-term contract until 2029.
"He has achieved exactly what Thomas Tuchel, whom I consider a highly intelligent man, was never able to do here: Vincent immediately built a close connection with his players and showed genuine passion for them," Hoeneß told Bild. "He never demanded specific players and addresses issues internally, empowering his players instead of weakening them."
