5 RB prospects fans should watch at the 2026 NFL combine
For NFL Draft fans, there is nothing quite like the NFL combine. The testing is not much in terms of action, but regardless, it gets you on the edge of your seat for the first time since the Super Bowl.
On Friday, we get to see two position groups on the field with actual testing in the tight ends and defensive backs. Both are positions that the Bucs could use some help at this draft cycle, so we wanted to give you some players to watch today when testing begins at 1:00 p.m. EST on NFL Network.
In this piece, we will focus specifically on running backs. The Bucs need to replace Rachaad White, who they expect to lose in free agency. If the team wants a replacement, the draft is going to be the best place to do so. With that in mind, here are five players we are looking forward to seeing test at the NFL combine.
Jeremiyah Love, Notre Dame
Jeremiyah Love is the next player up who seems destined to break the combine with what he is capable of. He has already cemented himself as a top player in this class, but with a strong combine, he could become the best player in this class. If anything, he can complicate choices for the teams at the top as they decide against best player available and drafting a need.
Jadarian Price, Notre Dame
Jadarian Price is looking to cement himself as the RB2 in the class with a strong combine. He didn't have a lot of on-field reps being behind Love at Notre Dame, but that isn't stopping anyone from being excited about him. Price will have every chance to cement himself as a top choice in the class with what many expect to be a good showing in terms of testing on Saturday.
Desmond Reid, Pittsburgh
There are not many more players in the draft who play with more heart and determination than Desmond Reid. The Pittsburgh running back is undersized for the position, but you wouldn't know it watching his film. Reid should test wel given his size and athleticism, but also because Pittsburgh has been putting out quite the athletes in recent drafts.
Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas
Mike Washington has caught fire this draft cycle after acing his Senior Bowl week. He now comes into the combine with some potential to become maybe the RB3 or even the RB2 in this class. Washington has the power in his running style, but showcasing some finesse and speed would go a long way with evaluators.
Jonah Coleman, Washington
Jonah Coleman is in contention for RB2 in this class alongside Jadarian Price and Mike Washington. The former Husky has shown a strong work ethic, adding to his frame these past two seasons in Washington. Now, as a draft prospect, evaluators will have to see how his preparation has gone ahead of his testing day.
