Aaron Rodgers poised to drag Steelers along for yet another offseason

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers is apparently ready to put the Pittsburgh Steelers in an impossible position yet again during free agency.

Rodgers appeared on Pat McAfee on the latter's Wednesday ESPN show and didn't seem like he's in a rush to make a decision on his NFL future, even with his former Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy in Pittsburgh.

“Anyone on here expecting me to make some big decision on here, just turn it off right now," Rodgers told McAfee about his immediate future.

The Steelers may have to play the Aaron Rodgers Waiting Game (TM) for yet another offseason if the team wants him back in Pittsburgh for 2026. The other options at quarterback this offseason aren't great, but does the team really want to wait for the whims of a wishy-washy player who has been teetering on retirement for quite some time?

It seems like a major gamble for the Steelers to wait on him, but we guess the reward is diminished returns from a quarterback at the end of his career and an 8-9 win season. Who says things have changed in Pittsburgh!

If we were Pittsburgh, we'd wish Rodgers well and find somebody who was willing to commit to us in March.
