Teenage defender Stephen Mfuni is determined to improve every aspect of his game during his current loan spell with Watford.
The 18-year-old joined The Hornets on loan from Manchester City in January, less than three weeks after making his first-team debut for Pep Guardiola's side in their 10-1 FA Cup win over Exeter City.
He made an immediate impression at Vicarage Road, with coach Charlie Daniels backing him to have a "top career", and has started all six games since arriving.
He was impressive in Friday's 2-1 victory at Bristol City which has reignited the Hornets' play-off ambitions.
"No-one really thinks about loans, I'm here to get everything I can for the team and I'm enjoying every game," Mfuni told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"Before I came I did my research on what to expect, the things to do and what not to do, and I'm using that in my game.
"I'm just hoping I become a better player in general - just everything, everything I'm good at, and not good at, hopefully they all improve."
Mfuni has already shown his versatility, playing both centre-back on left-back roles, and it is his technical prowess on the ball which has caught the eye.
"From under sevens to under nines I was at City and Liverpool at the same time and then chose Man City because I liked it more there," he said.
"They recalled Max Alleyne (from a Watford loan) and I was speaking to Max a lot because he's close with me and he was telling me about how good Watford is, how good the environment is, the playing staff, so in the end I chose here because I had someone to guide me.
"Personally I just hope to get as much experience as I can so that nothing's new to me and I'm ready for anything when I go back.
"From the team perspective, we're trying to get promoted, we believe we can do it, we need to stick together as a team and keep on pushing each day."
Watford are ninth in the Championship, six points outside the play-off places will 11 games to play, the next away to already-relegated Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday 10 March.
