AC Milan are monitoring Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson as they search for a new centre-forward this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Rossoneri are unwilling to meet the €70m asking price for Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy and are reportedly turning their attention to Jackson as a high-priority alternative.
Currently on loan at Bayern Munich, Jackson is expected to return to Stamford Bridge this summer after a frustrating spell at the Allianz Arena, where he has struggled for game time.
Milan were linked with Jackson last summer, and while no move materialised, the Serie A giants remain admirers of the 24-year-old striker.
With Enzo Maresca no longer at the helm, Jackson is thought to be open to staying at Chelsea next season. However, Liam Rosenior’s side currently have an abundance of strikers, though the overall quality remains questionable.
Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Marc Guiu are already at the club, while Emanuel Emegha is set to arrive from Strasbourg at the end of the current campaign.
Whether Chelsea would allow Jackson to depart on another initial loan remains to be seen, but Milan are unlikely to meet the Blues’ asking price for a permanent deal despite their imminent return to the Champions League.
Chelsea – ever conscious of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) – are expected to demand a significant return on the £32m they paid Villarreal in 2023 if they are to sanction an exit.
The Blues recently posted the highest pre-tax losses in English football history for the 2024-25 season.
