Austin Reaves admits concerning level of frustration as Lakers’ woes continue

Austin Reaves didn’t try to sugarcoat things following yet another Lakers defeat on Thursday — he’s ticked.

The Los Angeles guard sulked in his locker after the Lakers extended their losing skid to three with a 113-110 loss to the Suns in Phoenix, and when he was asked how high his frustration level with his team was, he gave a concerning response.

“Very high,” he said.

Reaves, who’s missed extended time on the court this season due to a calf injury, logged just 14 points in 36 minutes in Los Angeles’ latest setback, and it’s clear, he believes he and his teammates should be faring far better this season.

The Lakers are now losers in five of their last seven, and they currently sit in sixth place in the Western Conference standings with a 34-24 record.

What’s perhaps most frustrating for Reaves and the team is they’re as healthy as they’ve been at any point this season.

Outside of Rui Hachimura, who missed the tilt in the desert with an illness, JJ Redick had all of his roster pieces available.

The road to getting back on track will begin on Saturday, when the Lakers head to San Francisco to play what will likely be a Steph Curry-less Warriors at Chase Center.

On Sunday, they’ll return to Los Angeles for a home matchup with the Kings.
