2026 NFL Combine invitees: Full list of specialists

Kickers and punters matter too.

In terms of perceived importance, those specialists couldn't be further from the quarterbacks of the world. However, with the game on the line, it's often the leg of a kicker or punter that decides the contest in those final moments. They can flip the field or add three pivotal points to the scoreboard.

So while the quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and defensive stars steal headlines at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, don't forget about the small crop of specialists. They might just be the player your team calls upon with the game, or even a season, on the line.

Only seven specialists were invited to the combine this year, a small number compared to some position groups that feature 50 or more players. Of course, there is no given than any of these players will be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, let alone stick around long enough to make a roster in the fall.

Since teams don't carry multiple kickers and punters, it's a tough job to win. The competition is tight, and the numbers aren't in their favor, especially since players don't always come through the college ranks these days.

Here's a look at the kickers and punters that were invited to the NFL combine in 2026.
