FC Köln coach explains lack of minutes for Bayern Munich loanee

Bayern Munich is suddenly sprouting talents left, right, and center and there isn’t enough room for everyone so some go on loan assignments to other clubs. Felipe Chavez is one such case, currently employed by FC Köln where he has found minutes to come by. The Billy Goats coach Lukas Kwasniok knows this and said that he’s trying to find a balance between playing with and without Chavez in the team.

“I can imagine that the situation against Augsburg [tomorrow] will change, so his qualities could be needed more,” Kwasniok said (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “He’s playing a role in our considerations. We’ll see if he can help us from the start or give us a boost from the bench.”

Chavez has shown promise during his cameos with the senior team at Bayern so there’s the hope that he breaks through with the Bavarians. He’s one of many hopefuls that the Rekordmeister aims to integrate into the senior squad someday.
