New reports have revealed fresh details about the future of Marcus Rashford, who is currently playing for Barcelona on loan from Manchester United.

Talks held with Barcelona directors

According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Rashford’s representatives met with Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, on Monday to discuss the player’s future.

Barcelona reportedly ready to pay the €30 million release clause included in the loan agreement to make the transfer permanent. At the same time, the club is working on adjusting Rashford’s salary to fit within its current financial limits.

The report adds that Rashford is aware that staying at Barcelona will require effort from both sides. He is said to be open to lowering his wage demands in order to continue with the Catalan club.

This stance has been well received inside Barcelona where his attitude and professionalism are valued alongside his on-field contribution.
