Good morning Gang Green Nation! My goodness, silly season is upon us. Rumors are flying about the Jets possibly acquiring just about every terrible QB in the NFL. It’s reached the point where everyone seems to think it’s likely they can trade their trash for the Jets’ premium draft assets. Down below you’ll find an article suggesting the Chicago Bears might trade career backup Tyson Bagent to the Jets for a day two draft pick. Tyson Bagent? The undrafted soon to be 26 year old quarterback who has thrown 149 NFL passes in three years, who has thrown three touchdown passes and six interceptions, and who has a career passer rating of 73? That Tyson Bagent? That guy is worth a day two pick? Seriously? While this is on the face of it an absurd suggestion, the sad thing is, with the Jets having no viable NFL quarterbacks on the roster, and with the Jets routinely exceeding our expectations as to how stupid an NFL team can possibly be, we may not be entirely able to laugh a suggestion like this off. Who would be shocked at this point at another colossal blunder by this team?
