Manchester United goalkeeper Senne Lammens says the clarity of Michael Carrick's messaging as been key in the side's recent upturn in form.
Since Carrick was appointed as interim manager following the sacking of Ruben Amorim and brief spell under Darren Fletcher, the Red Devils have won five and drawn one of their six games and moved to fourth in the Premier League with a 1-0 win at Everton on Monday.
"After the manager [Amorim] was sacked you could feel the team and the players were a bit down because we believed in him," Lammens said post-match.
"We knew there had to be a change and that's where Michael came in and directly made a change for us.
"He made it clear what he wanted and we executed that well against Man City in the first game and then we just kept the momentum going.
"Every game has been a bit different with a different game plan, like against Everton we had to fight. You always have a chance to win those games if you keep the opposition to zero.
"He's really clear on what he wants, he doesn't make it too difficult for us. We know what we have to do and then he also knows our quality as players, we have plenty of players up top who can make the difference.
"In the last couple of games we have had the same back four which makes a big difference because you get used to each other and have trust in each other.
"At the beginning of the season we had a couple of injuries and some players came in and it can be difficult to get the rhythm in.
"Now I feel I know the guys in front of me and the guys on the bench who come in. We know we can trust each other."
