Switzerland Beat Colombia on Penalties

Switzerland defeated Colombia 4-3 in a penalty shootout to advance to the World Cup quarter-finals for the first time since 1954.

The match remained goalless through more than two hours of tense football before being decided by penalties. Davinson Sánchez looked to the heavens as Cucho Hernández trudged back to teammates after the shootout concluded.
