2026 Home Run Derby: Caglianone, Rice Commit

Jac Caglianone and Ben Rice have officially committed to participate in the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby at Philadelphia's Citizens Bank Ballpark on July 13.

Kansas City Royals' Jac Caglianone becomes the first Royals player to commit to the 2026 Derby. The 23-year-old rookie is hitting .258 with 14 home runs this season, averaging 418 feet per homer - tied for the best in MLB. Nine of his 14 homers came in June as he heats up before the All-Star break. catcross.biz

New York Yankees slugger Ben Rice also confirmed his participation, aiming to become the first Yankees player to win since Aaron Judge in 2017. Rice leads the Yankees with 26 homers and will have his father, Dan, throw to him in Philadelphia. The pair has already been practicing for the event, which will mark Rice's second straight year with a Yankees representative in the Derby.
