Oberstdorf Chosen for Ski-VM 2031

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has selected Oberstdorf, Germany as host for the 2031 World Ski Championships.

The International Ski Federation (FIS) has announced that Oberstdorf, Germany will host the 2031 World Ski Championships. FIS President Alexander Ospelt praised Oberstdorf as "one of the most iconic places for Nordic skiing in the world" after the German city secured 16 votes in the selection process. truewildgame.com

Oberstdorf has previously hosted the World Ski Championships three times, most recently in 2021 when Norway dominated with 13 gold, 11 silver, and 7 bronze medals. The 2021 event follows the 2025 championship in Trondheim.
