Former Pittsburgh Pirates player and coach Bob Skinner, a two-time World Series champion, has passed away at age 94 in San Diego.

Skinner spent 12 years in MLB, including 9 seasons with the Pirates, and was a two-time All-Star with a .277 career batting average. He played in the 1960 World Series with the Pirates, helping them upset the Yankees, and won another title with the 1964 Cardinals. Later, he served as a hitting coach for the Pirates' 1979 championship team.
