Bob Skinner, former Pirates champion, dies at 94

Bob Skinner, a former Pirates outfielder/first baseman and coach who won two World Series titles, died at age 94 in San Diego. The cause of death was not released. catcross.biz

Skinner spent 12 years in MLB, including 9 seasons with the Pirates, and was a two-time All-Star with a .277 career batting average. He played in the 1960 World Series with the Pirates, helping them upset the Yankees, and won another title with the 1964 Cardinals. Later, he served as a hitting coach for the Pirates' 1979 championship team.
