Dillion Mitchell: Rising Star Eyes 2028 Olympics

C.E. King High School sophomore Dillon Mitchell, holder of the US number-one time in the 60 meters, maintains his focus on the 2028 Olympics while enjoying his youth.

Despite setting records and achieving remarkable times in track, Dillon Mitchell remains humble and grounded. "I've really just been living life," said the C.E. King sophomore, who has been coached by his father Billy since age four. His father isn't surprised by his son's achievements, noting, "He's racing against ghosts... the best that have ever done it."

While Mitchell plans to play football and run track in college, his primary focus remains qualifying for the 2028 Olympics. His parents ensure he maintains balance, with his father stating, "He's a kid, he enjoys being a kid, he's not trying to hurry up and grow up."
