The Rams were the last team in the NFL to hire an OC this offseason, eventually landing on Scheelhaase despite never being an offensive coordinator in the NFL. Scheelhaase, 35, is a fast-rising coach who had several head coaching interviews this offseason.
Ragone, 46, brings more experience as he previously served as the Falcons' offensive coordinator from 2021-2023. Head coach Sean McVay has a history of unconventional approaches, having previously had seasons with one OC, no OC, and now two. In 2018, the Rams had no designated OC but still finished with the No. 2 offense in the NFL.
