Arbeloa: 'We ride together' after Vini racist abuse claim

Álvaro Arbeloa reaffirmed Real Madrid's stance of 'riding together and dying together' after Vinicius Jr allegedly suffered racist abuse during their Champions League win over Benfica.

Vinicius Jr scored the only goal in Real Madrid's 1-0 victory over Benfica but was allegedly called a monkey by opponent Gianluca Prestianni, according to Kylian Mbappé. The match was paused for 10 minutes as the Brazilian reported the incident to the referee.

Arbeloa condemned the racism, stating there should be 'zero tolerance' and that Madrid would stand by Vini Jr. 'He has always been a fighter, he will continue to be one, and we will always stand by his side,' the coach said. Prestianni has denied the allegations, claiming Vini Jr 'misunderstood what he thought he heard.'
