The tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations U-17, was originally scheduled to begin on Tuesday but will now start a day later. UNIFFAC confirmed in an official statement that the minor adjustment was made "to ensure the tournament runs as smoothly as possible."
Participating national teams must now adjust their schedules as they prepare for the competition that will now commence on Wednesday, February 18.
