Alcaraz Wins Doha Debut After Australian Open Triumph

Carlos Alcaraz began his Qatar Open campaign with a straight-set victory over Arthur Rinderknech, while Jaume Munar faces an extended absence due to injury.

World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz secured a 6-4, 7-6(5) win against Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech in his Qatar Open debut, continuing his winning streak after completing the career Grand Slam at the Australian Open. The match lasted 1 hour and 47 minutes.

Meanwhile, Spanish tennis player Jaume Munar will be sidelined for at least six weeks due to a right arm injury, forcing him to miss tournaments in Doha, Dubai, Indian Wells, and Miami. The 28-year-old, currently ranked 37th, will aim to recover for the clay court season beginning in April.
