Dolphins Release Tyreek Hill, Ending Four-Season Tenure

The Miami Dolphins released 31‑year‑old Tyreek Hill, ending his four‑season stint. The move clears $35.2 million in 2026 cap space for new leadership.

The Dolphins announced Hill's release on Feb. 16, a decision that will free $35.2 million in the 2026 salary cap and create a $28.2 million dead‑cap hit. The move comes as GM Jon‑Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley take the helm.

Hill, who led the NFL in receiving yards in 2023, finished his Miami career with 340 catches for 4,733 yards and 27 touchdowns, ranking in the league’s top ten despite missing most of last season. His tenure was also marked by off‑field controversies.
