McDaniels: Maye Has No Confidence Issues

Josh McDaniels addressed concerns about Drake Maye's recent struggles, dismissing the notion that the rookie quarterback has confidence issues. 'I've played golf with him, pickleball with him. I've watched him play football, and I'm not really sure what changes that for him,' McDaniels said.

The offensive coordinator compared Maye's quarterback mindset to that of a cornerback, emphasizing the need for a short memory. 'When you say, 'You gotta have a short memory. Yeah, you're gonna give up a catch.' And quarterbacks, you know, if you throw the ball enough, something bad's gonna happen,' McDaniels explained, noting there are still areas for improvement despite Maye's mental approach. tbzikra.com
