GT3 Needs Rethink for WEC 2030

SRO Motorsports Group founder and CEO Stephane Ratel has suggested the GT3 platform may need a rethink in line with the WEC's planned 2030 Hypercar refresh. While GT3 grids remain healthy across various championships, Ratel's comments during the Spa 24 Hours indicate concerns about the platform's future direction.

Ratel, who heads the working group addressing GT3 issues, acknowledged that despite strong participation numbers, there are underlying challenges facing the GT3 category that need to be addressed as motorsport evolves toward 2030. afsport.lat
