3 Ministres unissent leurs voix pour une cause nationale
La Côte d’Ivoire s’apprête à vibrer au rythme du football et de la culture avec le Summer Tour de l’Olympique de Marseille, de mercredi 15 au 18 juillet à Abidjan. À cette occasion, une conférence de presse s’est tenue ce mardi 14 juillet, au Ministère du Tourisme et des Loisirs, réunissant le Ministre du Tourisme et des Loisirs, Siandou Fofana, le Ministre des Sports et du Cadre de Vie, Adjé Silas Metch, ainsi que la Ministre de la Culture et de la Francophonie, Françoise Remarck. chickenroadslot.lat
Tous ont mis en avant la synergie de l’action gouvernementale et le climat de paix qui règne en Côte d’Ivoire, conditions essentielles pour accueillir de grands événements internationaux. Ils ont rappelé que le sport, le tourisme, la culture et les loisirs sont des leviers stratégiques de rayonnement et des accélérateurs d’attractivité et d’investissements étrangers, capables de renforcer les industries du divertissement, créatives et sportives.
Le Ministre du Tourisme et des Loisirs, Siandou Fofana, a souligné l’impact économique et médiatique attendu, ainsi que l’enthousiasme de la forte communauté des supporters de l’OM en Côte d’Ivoire et en Afrique. Notamment, grâce à des icônes ivoiriennes telles que Basile Boli, Didier Drogba, Cyrille Domoraux, Baky Koné, Abdoulaye Méité, Ibrahima Bakayoko…
Il a également esquissé le programme, qui comprendra des rencontres avec la jeunesse, des activités culturelles et touristiques, et un match symbolique en lever de rideau entre le Gouvernement ivoirien et le staff de l’OM. Avant le match de présaison entre le club phocéen et Yamoussoukro FC, partenaire avec son académie, du premier club français à avoir remporté la ligue des champions d’Europe, le vendredi 17 juillet, en fin d’après-midi, au Stade Félix Houphouët-Boigny.
Le Ministre des Sports et du Cadre de Vie, Adjé Silas Metch, a insisté sur les retombées sportives et infrastructurelles, tout en rappelant l’importance d’abriter des évènements d’envergure. La Ministre de la Culture et de la Francophonie, Françoise Remarck, a quant à elle valorisé le rayonnement culturel et francophone de l’événement, positionnant l’OM comme un ambassadeur du softpower ivoirien.

Evergreen Reinach ready to go full throttle
With his health issues behind him, veteran Springbok Cobus Reinach can’t wait to test his pace and lethal boot against Wales at Kings Park on Saturday.
Reinach came flying out of the blocks last season, scoring five tries in 12 appearances in the green and gold, before groin surgery and a knee injury pumped the brakes on an impressive start to his Stormers career.
The 36-year-old returns to the Bok starting XV this week, after featuring off the bench against England two weeks ago, and is primed to make an impact alongside rookie flyhalf Vusi Moyo in the third round of the Nations Championship.

“I had to have groin surgery, that was coming on for a year or two, and then I hurt my knee against Glasgow, which was unfortunate,” Reinach said.
“You try to be ready and available to get picked and if you get the opportunity, you want to do a job. So all of that is behind me.”
An experienced and nippy scrumhalf who made his Bok debut in 2014, Reinach earned his 50th Test cap at the end of 2025.
He has established himself as a fan favourite due to his try-scoring exploits, which includes the fastest recorded hat-trick at a World Cup in 2019.
On whether Father Time is catching up to him, the two-time World Cup winner added: “After this year, it’s [speedwork] something I need to work on now, not because of my age but because of my groin op.
“It takes a while for everything to settle and feel comfortable before putting my foot into the floor.”
DAVIDS: Ruben deserves his opportunity
Looking ahead to Saturday’s clash, Reinach reckons the Boks will return to their aerial game after taking a more expansive approach in last week’s 42-28 win over Scotland.
“We have a big kicking game and try to attack from there,” he said. “Against Scotland, we could’ve kicked more but they’re a team that when they get the ball, they hold it for a long time so you don’t always get the opportunity to kick.
“We adapted and found a way.”
The Boks humiliated Wales 73-0 in Cardiff last November, but Reinach warns thoughts of a repeat rout is dangerous.
“We don’t talk about what we’ve done before, we focus on what we need to do now to get better.
“Things can change in a blink of an eye if we don’t pitch up this weekend. We know we have to be 100% in what we want to put out on the field.”

Liucija Vaitukaityte signe à Nantes
L’arrivée de l’internationale lituanienne Liucija Vaitukaityte est le sixième renfort estival du FC Nantes.
Le FC Nantes a annoncé, ce mardi soir, la signature de Liucija Vaitukaityte en provenance de Come en Serie A. La milieu internationale lituanienne de 26 ans s’est engagé jusqu’en 2028.
Après trois saisons à Come en Italie où elle jouait depuis 2023, Liucija Vaitukaityte va découvrir l’Arkema Première Ligue la saison prochaine. Une joueuse d’expérience qui a évolué notamment à Saragosse CFF, UDG Tenerife, du Séville FC, de Parme et enfin Come. Avec plus de 60 sélections au compteur depuis 2015, elle a également disputé la Ligue des Champions et devient la sixième recrue du club.
« Milieu défensive capable d’utiliser aussi bien son pied droit que son pied gauche, Liucija est reconnue pour son intelligence de jeu, sa qualité de récupération et sa capacité à initier les attaques grâce à une première relance propre. À 26 ans, elle apportera toute son expérience au milieu nantais. », a salué Nantes dans son communiqué.

Stormers XXIII out to end losing streak
Veteran prop Oli Kebble believes the Stormers XXIII’s horror run of results against Griquas will have no bearing on Friday night’s Currie Cup opener at Cape Town Stadium.
The hosts head into the clash looking to snap an eight-match losing streak (when playing as Western Province) against the men from Kimberley.
“We aren’t concerned about it,” Kebble said. “This is a brand-new team that has come together over the last month and a half, and is building towards something special.
“We realise Griquas have performed well over the past few years, but there couldn’t be greater motivation for us than representing the Stormers at our home ground. That’s all the motivation we need.”

The Scotland international, one of several senior players in the Stormers XXIII squad, says the Cape side is determined to honour one of rugby’s biggest brands as they begin a new era in the competition.
“We’re not here just to take part. We want to do well and hopefully go deep into the competition,” Kebble said.
He also believes the blend of youth and experience in the squad will be a major asset throughout the campaign.
“We see this as an opportunity to bring players through, give others game time and play good rugby.
“Some of the older guys need game time and need to show they belong in the URC squad.
“We also can’t wait to see how some of the younger players perform on Friday.”
TEAM: Swiel takes the wheel for Sharks XV
Meanwhile, Netwerk24 reports that coach Tom Dawson-Squibb has sent an SOS call to veteran hooker Scarra Ntubeni.
The 35-year-old announced his retirement and played his last match for the Stormers against Connacht towards the back-end of the Vodacom URC season.
But reported injuries to Lukhanyo Vokozela and Luca Bakkes has necessitated Ntubeni’s call-up.
