Kevin Love shares clip of LeBron James draining putt alongside Jayson Tatum
LeBron James continues to find new competitive outlets away from the NBA hardwood, and this time it was a golf green that drew attention.
Kevin Love shared a video of James during a relaxed round that also featured Jayson Tatum, giving fans another glimpse of the Lakers star’s developing game.
The clip quickly circulated online, not just because of the company he was keeping but because of the shot itself.
Golf has recently become a growing part of James’ routine, and moments like this suggest he is taking it seriously.
Kevin Love posts video of LeBron James sinking a putt
The video posted by Love showed James facing a putt of roughly 10 feet with noticeable left-to-right break.
It was not a straight tap-in, requiring a careful read and steady touch to judge the movement across the green.
James lined it up, trusted the line, and watched it drop. The reaction from those around him suggested it was a solid effort rather than a stroke of luck.
“Come on now. Oh my goodness. Way to save the [hole],” James reacted in the clip on Love’s Instagram story.
With Tatum also part of the group, the scene offered a rare look at three NBA stars enjoying time away from basketball while still embracing competition.
LeBron James explains why golf has become his new obsession
James has spoken openly about how golf has captured his interest, even though he only started playing relatively recently.
“I love challenges. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. And to put the time into it and commit to it is something I’m really enjoying,” he previously explained.
“It’s also very rare for me to be able to get away and not be bothered as well. To play golf is one of the places where you’re not allowed to be bothered.
“It’s just me, nature, the greens, the bunkers, and a group of guys that I go with. I love it, I’m really enjoying it. I love watching it as well.
“Whether I’m watching the PGA or the YouTube golf and those guys. It’s a pretty cool sport, and I’m glad I finally got into it. It’s cool.”
For James, golf represents both difficulty and escape, combining technical precision with a rare opportunity to disconnect from constant attention.

Yellowjackets report: UWS women stumble at Crown
Feb. 19—Buckets were just too hard to come by for Wisconsin-Superior women's basketball on Wednesday night, resulting in a 50-47 Upper Midwest Athletic Conference loss at Crown College in St. Bonifacius, Minnesota.
UWS was just 18-for-60 (30%) from the field and 5-for-24 (21%) from 3-point land. The last of those attempts, a 3-pointer from Maddie Reott at the buzzer, missed to end the contest.
UWS led 22-20 at the break but gave up a 12-0 run coming out of halftime and spent the second half chasing the game. UWS closed the third quarter on a 9-0 run to cut a deficit from 34-24 to 34-33 and briefly led in the fourth quarter. Crown had another run, which UWS erased to tie the game on an Ella Olson free throw with 1:02 to play, but three Crown free throws in the final 15 seconds proved the difference.
Hope Carlson led UWS with 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Yellowjackets (10-14, 7-4 UMAC) will close out the regular season with a Saturday, Feb. 21 home game vs. Minnesota Morris, who they may also play next week in the semifinals of the UMAC tournament.
The offensive end of the floor didn't go any better for the Wisconsin-Superior men's basketball team as their female counterparts on Wednesday.
The Yellowjackets were 19-for-66 (29%) from the floor in a 70-53 loss at Crown.
UWS fell behind 40-28 in the first half, a deficit that reached as much as 21 points down the stretch.
Gage Braiedy scored 13 points for UWS (6-18, 2-9 UMAC), which wraps up its season at home vs. Minnesota Morris on Saturday, Feb. 21.
