Matt Bloomfield revealed a double blow for Oxford United ahead of their visit to Stoke City.

Both Jamie McDonnell and Brodie Spencer are set to miss out due to ankle injuries.

Bloomfield said: “He’s [McDonnell] gone for a scan today, so we’ll see the news of that. Spencer again has gone for a scan on his ankle.

“I don’t expect either of those boys to be available for Wednesday evening.”

Tyler Goodrham, Nik Prelec and Brian De Keersmaecker all remain out with their respective injuries.

Jin-Woo Jeon is expected to start again but Bloomfield admitted it will be unlikely that he plays the full match due to his fitness levels.

Bloomfield said: “We have to be patient with him because he’s not match fit, he’s starting games and tiring so we have to bring him off.”

Oxford are winless in their last six matches but managed a draw against Middlesbrough in their last game. Bloomfield said: “We’re definitely getting closer, the boys are getting closer to looking like the team that we want to be.”

NFL.com: Should the Bills trade for Eagles WR A.J. Brown?

The Buffalo Bills showed last season that, while a talented team, their offense could probably use another playmaker.

How about AJ Brown?

Trade rumors have long circled the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver.

A three-time Pro Bowler and three-time second-team All-Pro player, Brown is a top playmaker in the NFL. At only 28 years old and with a Super Bowl on his resume, if the Eagles were to trade him there would be suitors.

NFL.com made the case for a trade between the Bills and Eagles involving Brown:

If you’re tired of hearing about the annual drama involving Brown and the Eagles, just imagine how Philadelphia might feel. Is trading Brown a smart move? Absolutely not. GM Howie Roseman said it best after the trade deadline passed in November: “You don’t get rid of guys like that.”

But this relationship sure feels like it’s headed toward a divorce, even after the Eagles fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. If so, the Eagles won’t have a hard time finding interested trade partners. They might be able to extract the most value from a team like the Bills, who have desperately needed a top receiver ever since they sent Stefon Diggs to Houston.

Brown would give Josh Allen the star target he’s lacked in recent years and might welcome a fresh start with another title contender. It should cost the Bills a significant amount, but if ever there were a time for Buffalo to push all of its chips to the center of the table, it’s now.
