The Team Canada forward crunched Team USA forward Dylan Larkin behind the net and made sure to follow through early in the first period.
Larkin would go hard into the boards, but fortunately for the Detroit Red Wings forward, he was able to stay in the game.
Canada couldn’t take advantage of the hit as the U.S.opened the scoring with Matt Boldy splitting the defence and beating Jordan Binnington to grab the early 1-0 lead.
