The Toronto Raptors will be without one of their all-stars on Sunday.
Star forward Scottie Barnes has been ruled out for the team’s road game against the Milwaukee Bucks due to personal reasons, the Raptors announced on Saturday.
According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, Barnes was previously questionable to play on Sunday in Milwaukee after being excused from practice on Saturday, before ultimately being ruled out.
The 24-year-old has been one of Toronto’s top producers all season, averaging 19.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks through 55 games this season.
Barnes, now a two-time all-star, leads the Raptors in rebounds, steals, blocks and minutes per game, while ranking second in points and assists. The defensive anchor also leads the NBA in stocks (steals + blocks) this season with 159.
As for the Raptors, they are 0-1 without Barnes in the lineup this season. Toronto will also be without two-way players Chucky Hepburn, Alijah Martin and A.J. Lawson.
The Raptors visit the Bucks on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET / 12:30 p.m. PT, looking to win back-to-back road games coming out of the all-star break before heading into a home back-to-back against the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs.
