NCAA Tournament bracket preview: Iowa State blows UConn off No. 1 seed line -- but why?

Connecticut has not played effectively in the past month, but the NCAA March Madness selection committee is not supposed to emphasize recent performance in its selection and seeding work. It sure seemed the members did in placing Iowa State above the Huskies in the official bracket preview.
