Bemidji shuts out Lakeville North, advances to Class AA consolation championship

Feb. 20—ST. PAUL — The Bemidji High School girls hockey team earned one more day in St. Paul.

The Lumberjacks shut out Lakeville North in the Class AA consolation semifinals on Friday at TRIA Rink. Megan Berg scored just over 14 minutes into the first period before Emma Greiner extended her scoring streak to three games midway through the third.

Both of Bemidji's goals were on the power play. Bailey Rupp had two assists, while Millie Knott had one.

BHS (21-6-1) goaltender Lily Lauer stopped all 19 shots she faced in the win. Lakeville North's (17-11-2) Beth Bigalke made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Bemidji will play against Farmington at 3 p.m. on Saturday at TRIA Rink in St. Paul.
