The Las Vegas Raiders coaching staff is coming together, with them filling up both sides of the football. Today, they announced that Rick Dennison and Omar Young will serve as the OL coach and running backs coach, respectively. However, they are still searching for more coaches to fill the staff.
One of the positions they are attempting to fill is run game coordinator. A place they are looking for this position is the college ranks. A candidate the Silver and Black are targeting for the position is Georgia coach Phil Rauscher. Rauscher is the Georgia offensive line coach at the moment, but the Raiders are hoping to poach him from the Bulldogs.
Kubiak and Rauscher were together in Minnesota from 2020 to 2021. Rauscher was Kubiak’s offensive line coach while he was the offensive coordinator, which would make this a reunion with Rauscher having a different role.
Georgia is not making it easy for the Raiders, and the tug-of-war between the franchise and the Heralded University is growing. Let’s see if Kubiak can pull this off.
