Radha Yadav stars as India A reach Women's Rising Stars Asia Cup final

Skipper Radha Yadav starred with both bat and ball to help India A reach the final of the Women's Rising Stars T20 Asia Cup, beating Sri Lanka A by five wickets on Friday.

After winning the toss, Sri Lanka chose to bat, but the decision backfired. The Indian bowlers, led by Radha, bowled them out for just 118 runs.

Radha took 4 wickets for 19 runs, while left-arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar claimed 2/20 and leg-spinner Prema Rawat grabbed 2/9.

For Sri Lanka, opener Sanjana Kavindi scored 31, and she shared a 36-run partnership with Hansima Karunaratne (14).

Sri Lanka were 71/2 after 10 overs but lost their remaining 8 wickets for just 47 runs in about 9 overs, thanks to India’s strong spin attack.

Chasing 119, India had a small wobble after losing 3 wickets for 21 runs, including top-scorer Vrinda Dinesh (42). But Radha Yadav finished the job with an unbeaten 31 off 18 balls, hitting 7 fours, and guided India to victory in 13.3 overs.

In the final, India A will face the winner of the Bangladesh vs Pakistan semifinal.
