There have been some characters in Bayern Munich’s locker room over the history of the club. Oliver Kahn was known for being a fierce competitor and extremely aggressive on the pitch. Thomas Müller will also be remembered for being a class clown, on top of his excellence on the pitch. For the latest generation, there are internet personalities such as Davies who surely create some comedy in the locker room.
However, FC Bayern boss Vincent Kompany named someone completely different for his pick for funniest player in the club. Austrian’s very own Konrad Laimer was named as Kompany’s funniest player.
Quite the surprising choice for many fans, of course, there is only so much personality that fans can decipher from television or social media. Perhaps Laimer is cracking great jokes on the team bus or at the hotel the night before matches.
Clearly, Laimer is making quite a legacy for himself at Bayern. Since joining the Bavarians, the Austrian has quickly become a fan favorite for his energy and work rate on the pitch, demeanor off the field, and now his humor.
