Former Raiders RB coach heading back to college ranks

Two weeks ago the Raiders did a housecleaning with regard to the coaches listed on the website. But it wasn't a full ouster, there were a few names that remained, suggesting there was a chance they could return. One of those coaches whose name remained was RB Deland McCullough. But not anymore.

Wednesday reports had the Raiders hiring former Iowa State RB coach Omar Young as their new RB coach. And a short time later, reports had McCullough headed to Oklahoma.

McCullough was hired by Pete Carroll and Chip Kelly last offseason after three years coaching running backs at Notre Dame. He also had a three-year stint as RB coach with the Chiefs back in 2018-20.

So, Owen Young is up and Deland McCullough is down.
