NFL.com draft guru Daniel Jeremiah released his latest mock ahead of the 2026 event and the first-round predictions has a welcome prediction for the Buffalo Bills.
Following a 12-5 season and divisional-round postseason exit, Buffalo is slated to pick at No. 26 overall in Round 1 in this year's draft. With that selection, Buffalo adds a playmaker to help quarterback Josh Allen on offense...
...A clear need for the Bills throughout last season.
Jeremiah's prediction for the Bills is senior wide receiver from Notre Dame Malachi Fields.
A transfer from Virginia before the 2025 season, Fields put up better stats his prior two seasons at Virginia before taking on last year with Notre Dame, but one stat did jump up... one the Bills would like: Yards per reception.
Along with his 36 catches for 630 yards in 12 games played in 2025, Fields averaged 17.5 yards per catch. That's the exact area Buffalo's offense needs addressing.
Jeremiah's breakdown on the Fields to the Bills can be found below:
The Bills add a player with a wide catch radius to complement Khalil Shakir at receiver. Fields was excellent all week long at the Senior Bowl.
